Help Guide

How everything works

A plain-English guide to every feature across all Easy2 platforms โ€” whether you're deciding if Easy2 is right for you, or you're already a client looking for how to set something up.

๐Ÿ’ก Already have your own app (Word4Me, ClientCast, ArtCast, etc.)? This guide is deliberately general โ€” your own platform's site also has a version of this page tailored to your own app, with your own words.

About Us โ€” your main page

This is the first thing most visitors see โ€” a welcome message, plus (optionally) a PDF with extra details like directions, contact info, or anything else visitors might need.

Why it matters: a warm first impression, without needing a website of your own.
  1. Don't have anything written up yet? No problem โ€” open a blank Google Doc, write down the basics (who you are, service or opening times, contact details, address, banking details if relevant), then go to File โ†’ Download โ†’ PDF Document. That's your PDF, ready to use.
  2. Open your admin panel, go to the About Us tab.
  3. Upload your PDF to Google Drive, set sharing to "Anyone with the link," and paste the link here. A live preview confirms it's the right file before you save.
  4. If you don't add a PDF, visitors see a simple welcome card instead โ€” no setup needed.
๐ŸŽง

Audio

Share talks, messages, or audio content โ€” perfect for people with limited data, since audio uses far less than video.

Why it matters: your audience can listen on the go, even on a slow connection.
  1. Go to the Audio tab, click + Add audio.
  2. Paste a link from Spotify (episode link only), Podbean, SoundCloud, Audiomack, or Mixcloud.
  3. Add a title and optional publish date (you can schedule items for the future).
  4. Up to 10 items at a time โ€” the oldest naturally makes way as you add new ones.
๐ŸŽฅ

Video

Share videos, presentations, or announcements, from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, or TikTok.

Why it matters: for the people who want the full experience, not just audio.
  1. Go to the Video tab, click + Add video.
  2. Paste the video link โ€” a preview appears automatically so you can confirm it's correct.
  3. Add a title and optional publish date.
๐Ÿ”ด

Live Streaming

Turn any video into a live broadcast โ€” a bright red banner appears across the entire app the moment it starts, so nobody misses it, no matter which tab they're on.

Why it matters: your audience can join a live event from anywhere, with zero chance of missing it.
  1. Add your video as usual (a YouTube Live link works โ€” the same link keeps working before, during, and after the broadcast).
  2. Tick "Schedule as a live item", then set the start time and expected duration.
  3. That's it โ€” the app automatically shows the live banner during that window, and hides it afterwards. No need to remember to switch anything off.
๐Ÿ“ฐ

Newsletters

Share PDF newsletters or bulletins directly in the app.

Why it matters: no more "did you get my WhatsApp forward?" โ€” everyone checks one place.
  1. Go to the News tab, click + Add newsletter.
  2. Upload your PDF to Google Drive, share it, and paste the link.
  3. Add a title and publish date.
๐Ÿ“…

Calendar

List upcoming events โ€” sorted automatically with the soonest first. Past events quietly disappear on their own.

Why it matters: one place for "what's happening this month," always current.
  1. Go to the Calendar tab, click + Add event.
  2. Add a title and date (time and a short description are optional).
  3. Save โ€” the event shows automatically until its date has passed.
๐Ÿ”—

Links

A simple list of external links โ€” donation pages, social media, sign-up forms, anything you want front and centre.

Why it matters: a flexible, catch-all spot for anything the other tabs don't cover.
  1. Go to the Links tab, click + Add link.
  2. Add a title, the link itself, and a short description.
๐Ÿ’ฌ

WhatsApp Button

A floating green WhatsApp button, visible on every tab โ€” the same instantly-recognisable button people see on websites everywhere.

Why it matters: the easiest possible way for someone to reach out and start a conversation.
  1. Go to About Us, find the WhatsApp number field.
  2. Type the number in any format (082 123 4567, +27 82 123 4567 โ€” all work).
  3. Save โ€” the button appears automatically. Leave it blank and it simply won't show.
๐Ÿ“

Location / Map

Help visitors find you โ€” a simple "Get Directions" button, or a full embedded map right in the app.

Why it matters: no more "where exactly are you again?" messages before someone's first visit.
  1. Go to About Us, find the Location / Address field.
  2. For a simple button: just type your address.
  3. For a full embedded map: on Google Maps, search your address, tap Share โ†’ Embed a map, and paste that link instead.
๐Ÿ“Š

Statistics

See how many times your app has been opened this month and last month, plus a day-by-day breakdown.

Why it matters: real, honest numbers โ€” not a guess โ€” of how many people your app is actually reaching.
  1. Go to the Statistics tab โ€” updated once a day, automatically.
  2. "Visits" means how many times the app was opened, not clicks or video views.
๐Ÿ”‘

Password & Security

Change your own admin password any time, and install your admin panel as its own app on your phone โ€” no more hunting for a bookmark.

Why it matters: your own, private space, that only you control.
  1. Go to the Password tab to set a new one โ€” you'll need your current password.
  2. On your phone, open your admin link and look for "Add to Home Screen" or an install icon โ€” it becomes its own app, just like any other.
